A Prodrive começou por forçar o novo motor 1.6 Litros turbo da BMW, de modo a perceber as suas reações, defeitos e virtudes, e se nos dois primeiros dias foi escolhido um troço rápido e de relativo bom piso, desta feita, em Cabração, é bem mais sinuoso e irregular, podendo ver-se as reações do MINI em ganchos, curvas apertadas, e aceleração.
No final deste mês será mostrada a versão mais perto daquela que será a final, sendo que o AutoSport irá estar presente em Banbury, nas instalações da Prodrive, para esse efeito. Este carro que se tem visto em Ponte de Lima é apenas um híbrido, com muitos componentes do WRC, mas com uma carroçaria ainda muito longe da versão final.
