Niklas Ajo, em Husqvarna, foi o mais rápido na segunda sessão de treinos livres do GP da Catalunha, com uma diferença de 0.014 m para o segundo lugar, Jack Miller, em KTM. O português Miguel Oliveira obteve a mesma posição que na primeira sessão, 12º tempo, distando desta feita 0.631m do vencedor. Nesta segunda ronda, o português teve alguns problemas na sua Mahindra, como explica: “Voltei a ter problemas com o travão motor o que não me permite travar e colocar a moto em curva como pretendo.” Para a amanhã o objetivo é “reduzir estas diferenças para que no domingo possa sair desde as primeiras linhas.”
