O evento realiza-se anualmente em S. Marino, e junta carros tão díspares como o Audi Quattro S1 A2, Fiat 131 Abarth, Lancia Stratos, Ford Escort BDA, Toyota Celica 4WD, Peugeot 206 WRC, por exemplo, ou pilotos como Marcus Gronholm, Juha Kankkunen, Miki Biasion, Timo Salonen e Hannu Mikkola. Bom programa, não? Agora imaginem um programa destes nas estradas de Sintra, ou mesmo em Arganil ou Fafe. Convencido?
Para a história fica o registo que Luca Pedersoli foi o vencedor da nona edição do Rally Legends, aos comandos de um Peugeot 206 WRC. Gronholm regressou ao 206 WRC que guiou no mundial de Ralis, e deu luta a Pedersoli, mas o motor cedeu a três classificativas do final.
Se não teve a oportunidade de se deslocar a S. Marino (o aperitivo do Estádio do Algarve em 2007 foi pouco para tanta gula lusa) veja os vídeos do evento. Talvez um dia seja possível realizar uma prova assim em Portugal, pois se há quem se lembre, e bem, de realizar Historic Festival, no Estoril, Porto ou Algarve, talvez um dia decidam oferecer um ‘rebuçado’ destes aos muitos milhares de adeptos dos ralis em Portugal.
